Meet Our Coaches

ANGELA M. ROESCH-DAVIS

  • PSA Member, USFSA Member, and SafeSport Compliant
  • PSA Ratings: Master Group, Master Moves, Master Program Director, and Certified Freestyle
  • Angela has been teaching for 24 years. She teaches beginner through Senior levels and all ages. She specializes in basic skills, moves in the field, freestyle, choreography, and power skating
  • Angela has her gold medal in Moves in the Field. She has coached many students through Gold Moves in the Field and Freestyle, and has had skaters place at Collegiate Championships, Regionals, and compete at Sectionals.
  • Her career outside of coaching doesn't stretch out of the ice rink. She is also the Skating Director and General Manager
  • Other than coaching, Angela likes to run, spend time with her husband and dog, Macie, take pictures, and go to the gym
  • Angela loves coaching and helping others find their love and passion for the sport

SUZANNAH NOLT

  • PSA Member, USFSA Member, and SafeSport Compliant
  • PSA Ratings: Freestyle and Moves in the Field
  • Suzannah has been teaching for over 30 years and teaches all levels and ages. She specializes in freestyle, moves in the field, choreography, pairs, dance, group lessons, off-ice core strengthening, and jump technique
  • Suzannah is a National figure skater competitor, coach, and choreographer; Regional and Sectional medalist, a two-time medalist in pair skating, US Adult Championships; traveled extensively as a former principal and line performer for Ice Capades, Willy Bietak Productions, Ted Wilson Productions, Charles M. Schulz Productions, and Trump Entertainment.
  • She graduated from Albright College with a degree in English-Communications
  • Outside of coaching, Suzannah loves being a mom. She is also a paraprofessional in the special education department at the Lehigh Valley Charter HS for the Arts; 2010-2019 she was a faculty member at the Charter Arts HS in the figure skating department.
  • Other than coaching, she loves biking, cardio, reading, writing, piano, ballet, karate, and volunteerism.
  • Suzannah worked several years in television news as a reporter, anchor, and producer; worked for 11 years as a writer and editor for a broadcast news/sports/weather talent agency.
  • A fun fact about Suzannah is that when she was 11, she earned a superior rating from the National Federation of Music Clubs for her piano composition, "March for Fric and Frac (My Pet Gerbils)"

JULIE KOWAL

  • PSA Ratings: Freestyle and Figures
  • Julie has been teaching for close to 40 years. She teaches beginner through Senior levels and ages 5 to 17 years old right now. She specializes in Moves in the Field and Freestyle, but can also coach Dance.
  • She has passed the 7th Figure test, Junior Freestyle test, and Pre-Gold Dance test. She has had skaters pass all levels of testing up to and including the 8th Figure test, Senior Moves in the Field test, and Senior Freestyle test. She has also coached skaters in Regional and Sectional competitions.
  • She graduated from NACC and had an LPN license. She also got her Associate degree in Allies Health from LCCC and went to be a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Other than coaching, Julie likes to learn new things. She enjoys going to skating seminars and camps to enhance her knowledge by learning the way others do things. She also enjoys plants a lot, especially orchids, as well as hiking, fishing, being outside, and the beach. 
  • A fun fact about Julie is that she loves dogs and survived living in Texas for 9 years!

ADAM SWIFT

  • Adult Triple Gold Medalist
  • Former national competitor from Southern California
  • Former skating director for The Rink @ Lehigh Valley
  • Certified Freestyle and Ice Dance rating as well as register Group rating
  • Former Dance Director and Ballroom Dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Lake Forest California
  • Adam is also a registered Landscape Architect and graduate of Cornell University

LAURA HUDSON

  • CPR/AED Certified 
  • Laura has been teaching for 20 years and teaches all levels, abilities, and ages. She specializes in hockey power skating, freestyle, ice dance, choreography, and off-ice training.
  • USFSA Gold Medalist in Dance and Moves in the Field. Passed Junior Freestyle and Intermediate Pairs tests
  • Laura was a professional show skater for 11 years. She worked with Disney on Ice and Holiday on Ice, which is two of the biggest touring companies in the world. As a professional, she has performed on six continents.
  • She graduated from Moravian College with a B.A. in Psychology
  • Other than coaching, she is a fitness enthusiast

GRACE MOYER

  • Grace has been teaching for about 4 years. She teaches beginning and basic levels of skating and teaches ages 3-15. She specializes in beginner/basic skills
  • She is the 2018 Regional Silver Medalist, 2018 Sectional Competitor, 2016 Collegiate Championships Bronze Medalist, Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field, Freestyle, and Solo Free Dance and is working towards her gold medal in Dance
  • Grace graduated from Penn State University in December 2019 with a B.A. in Corporate Communication and a Minor in Business
  • Outside of coaching, Grace is the Social Media Manager for Moyer Design Co., which is her brother's graphic design company
  • Other than coaching, Grace enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with her family and friends, working out, and dogs
  • A fun fact about Grace is that she has been a competitive figure skater for 16 years

BECKY SCHAPPELL

  • PSA Ratings: Basic Accreditation and Registered Group Instructor
  • Becky has been teaching for 17 years. She teaches beginner levels, as well as basic skill levels and all ages and abilities. She specializes in group instruction, basic freestyle, basic moves in the field, and basic hockey/power skating
  • She was a member of the University of Delaware Intercollegiate team, taught the Lehigh Valley Ice Crystals Basic Skills Synchronized Skating Team, and taught an Introduction to Ice Skating Physical Education course through a local community college
  • Becky graduated from the University of Deleware with a B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in Figure Skating Science and a Minor in Theatre
  • Other than coaching, she likes to do Barre3 and bake
  • A fun fact about Becky is that she is an avid Broadway Musical fan and has a rescue dog named Leia

LINDSAY MAZZEO

  • USFSA Gold Medalist in Moves in the Field and passed Junior Freestyle test
  • 8 years of coaching experience
  • Experience teaching Basic Skills, Figure Skating,
    Moves in the Field, power skating for hockey, and off ice training
  • Graduated from Moravian College with a BA in
    Psychology and currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Trauma studies from Chestnut Hill College

AMANDA DAILEY-DIPETRILLO

  • Amanda has been teaching for 17 years. She teaches all levels and ages 3 years old through adult. She specializes in freestyle and moves in the field.
  • She is a National and International Medallist in Synchronized skating.
  • She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Nursing and is a retired RN.
  • Other than coaching, Amanda likes to sew
